Laura Burnett

Laura Burnett is currently studying for a PhD at the University of Exeter in History and Archaeology. She is an archaeologist with a specialism in British small finds and numismatics and worked for the Portable Antiquities Scheme in Oxford, Sussex and Somerset for 15 years. She has a particular interest in economic and social history and in how money operates as a social system within past societies.
She is the author of numerous papers in county, national and international journals on archaeological small finds and of two popular books: '50 Finds From Somerset' and '50 Post Medieval and Modern Finds'.
