Steph Vinnels

Steph holds a BSc in Archaeological Practice from Winchester University, which she followed up with an MRes in Archaeology also at Winchester. After her studies she started her career in commercial archaeology, working at units such as PCA, Wessex and AC Archaeology. One of her favourite things as a commercial archaeologist was training new site staff in excavation and recording methods, a passion she has brought with her to Exeter. When she isn’t keeping the labs and departmental equipment running she helps teach the first year core module ‘Practical Skills’ using her background in commercial archaeology to teach students the foundations of archaeological fieldwork. Her main interests are archaeological methods and principles, and anything prehistory.
